REPORT ON NATIONAL SEMINAR

National seminar on “Emerging Paradigms of Digitization: A Management Prospective” was organised by Department of Management on March 26th, 2018. The participants were from various reputed institutes of India who enthusiastically participated in the seminar.

The inaugural session started with the lighting of lamp. Dr. R K Mittal, Vice Chancellor, Chaudhary Bansilal University, Haryana, was the chief guest. Dr. Rajbir Singh Hooda, Professor, Head and Additional Dean, SGT University, Gurgram, was the key note speaker for the event. Mr Dinesh Chopra, an entrepreneur, was the guest of honour. The event was graced by the presence of our Founder Chairman Dr. Nand Kishore Garg ji and Chairman Shri Prem Sagar Goel ji. During the inaugural session, Director General, MAIT, Dr M.L. Goyal; Director, MAIT, Dr. Neelam Sharma; Dean, MAIT, Dr. S.S. Deswal, and all Heads of Department of MAIT, were present.

The welcome address was given by Dr. M.L.Goyal. The gathering was addressed by all the dignitaries. Esteemed participants shared their experiences and views regarding digitization which enlightened delegates and students and motivated them to think ahead of their times.

On this special occasion, many students from Department of Management (MBA) were felicitated by the chief guest for winning prizes in various competitions and for the special contribution they made towards the department.

Academicians, research scholars, and students from esteemed institutes presented their research papers at the seminar. The papers covered various aspect of digitization like digital finance, digital marketing, digitization of education, impact of digitization on banking sector, role of digitization in corporate governance among others. It was altogether an enriching experience for all those who attended the seminar.

On the occasion, an edited book having a collection of selected research papers related to the seminar was released by the chief guest. The book was titled “DIGITALIZATION” and was compiled by Dr. Ravi K Gupta, Dr. Ravinder Jit, Dr Anju Bharti and Dr Neeru Gupta. The book was appreciated by one and all.

The inaugural session came to an end with a vote of thanks by Dr Anju Bharti, Convenor of the Seminar.

The research papers were presented in Technical Sessions I and II by various participants and helped enhance knowledge on digitization and emerging concepts. The Technical Sessions were chaired by Dr V.K. Khurana, Professor, MAIMS, and Dr Anoop Gupta, Department of Management, MAIT.

The participants attended the seminar with full enthusiasm and enhanced their knowledge about various aspect of digitization. Overall, it was an enriching session for one and all.
