Visit to India Mobile Congress,26th October,2018,Aerocity,New Delhi

A group of students and faculty from Department of Management, MBA visited the ‘India Mobile Congress’ on 26th October, 2018.  The event was organised by Department of Communications, Ministry of Communications, Government of India at Aerocity, New Delhi.

The event was hosted by Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI). It provided a platform for policymakers, regulators and industry stakeholders to come on a common platform and engage in meaningful deliberations on future direction of Telecom technologies .

The mobile industry giants showcased their innovative ideas in highlighting the leading mobile technologies and products.

The event witnessed the participation from Telecom experts from various countries and there was a vibrant atmosphere of discussions on key emerging Telecom technogies. The discussions centered around the emerging technologies needed for the Business world globally which can address or provide the following -

  • the changes in global environment,
  • skill sets required for ease in implementation of these new technologies,
  • perceived benefits, and
  • identify the possible roadblocks, which can appear in implementation of the future telecom technologies.

The Regulatory, Deployment and Infrastructure issues of the newer telecom technologies were also highlighted and deliberated upon.

The students and faculty also visited the various stalls of different mobile network companies in the Industry. The students of MBA were able to learn a lot about the mobile networks and telecom industry. They also got a picture of the things to come in future in Telecom, mobile and networking technologies.

Overall, it was a very fruitful and great learning experience both for students and faculty of Department of Management, MAIT, Delhi. Some pictures of the event are shared below.
